Who writes this blog? I do. I’m Hanne Blank, writer, public speaker, scholar of fortune, and, as in the photo above, library loiterer. (That’s the research library reading room at the Boston Public Library I’m in, up there.)
I live in Baltimore with my partner of 15 years, to whom I tend to refer as The Belovedary. We live in a 200-year-old stone millworkers’ cottage on a dirt road in Baltimore. Assisting us in this endeavor are two cats is one spotted little cat of pronounced opinions.
The one on the left is Fez, aka Jungle Pudge, aka HRH Aziza Noor al Salaam of Mauraj, who is 8. The one on the right is Mrs. Calabash, who was an extraordinary bright sweet little soul and was 18 and a half when she passed away in July, 2011.
Additionally, all my work is closely supervised by this fine fellow here.
(Photo credit: Bob Stockfield) Ushi is an eight-year-old Japanese Akita. He likes his circus-dog collar very much, actually. And he is a bit of a ham.
