If you think there’s no such thing as global warming…
…you obviously haven’t been outdoors lately.
Tomorrow is the first day of December.
I live in Baltimore, Maryland. That’s 39° 11′ North, 76° 40′ West to those of you equipped with globes or GPSes.
It is 66 degrees F / roughly 19 degrees C here right now, around 5:20 in the evening.
I’ve had the house windows open all day and no heat or air conditioning running. The temperature in my dining room is 75 F / roughly 24 C.
Ugh. I know Baltimore is what they call an urban heat island, but for Maude’s sake, this is ridiculous. I shouldn’t be this far north and be wearing a tank top outdoors on the last day of November in complete comfort.
The dog would like to register a complaint as well. He is a densely furry boy, designed for snowy climes and rugged jaunts in the mountains in hot pursuit of bears. This weather makes him sullen, and I have to put ice cubes in his water bowl.
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, but something tells me the odds aren’t great.
